I'm a 26/m and this is really bugging me. So many dudes I've noticed walk up the urinal and as they're relieving themselves start flushing the toilet, sometime once sometime repeatedly. Doesn't all the piss start splashing up on you? I wait until I'm all zipped up and about to walk off before I flush the toilet. What is the conduct, what am I missing here?

My guess is that they do this because of the sound. It serves as sort of a backdrop to the sound of their urine splashing on the water. It makes it easer for them to urinate. They are more relaxed. Men who have trouble urinating in front of other men sometimes do this.

some guy's like to flush at the same time because the sound of the rushing water helps them go. It might splash more because of this but, it splashes no matter what due to the design of the urinal. It's all a matter of preference though. I like to flush as I approach and as soon as I'm done......hope this helps you.... ;)

these guys get a kick from the sound of the flushing water. They are childish. You're right, a person needs to flush AFTER he pisses, not before. Oh well, this is our world.

urinal etiquette is seldom discussed, you have the repeated flushers, the no flushers and the pre spitter & the post spitter, I don't understand any of them other than the pee & flush method.

use it however you feel comfortable. if the urinal is too uncomfortable or confusing use a stall im sure you can aim properly? lol
