Dear Farrel D: Neither. Farrel, now follow me as I tell you the sounds to produce. Just follow this, and you will have it. The "G" in Givenchy is pronounced, by the French, as: "she" - a SSH sound. Now make the "she" sound a tad bit HARSHER by using a "J" in place of the "S". Using the ssh sound, say :Jee." Now, you should have it !

Also, the "ven" portion of the name is pronounced as: "Vaughn."

Last, the "chy" part of the name is pronounced close to "she."

French is the most beautiful of all languages.

Best regards, Lana

Kind of neither- it's French, so you say it with a soft G, like at the end of garage, barrage, montage, etc.
