Walmart is huge and not only controls the prices and the items sold, but also controls the vendors.

Value City provides low prices to consumers, but does not have the buying power of Walmart.

Both:

1. Have large buying power
2. Provide low prices to consumers
3. Buy in bulk
4. Are family owned

Differences:

1. Walmart has claims of employee abuse.
2. Walmart puts all of the small Mom and Pop shops out of business because they undercut them.
3. Walmart has much greater buying and selling power than Value City.
4. Value City is regional.
5. Walmart is national.
6. Walmart also has a sister company called Sam's Club.

That would be a good start.

Take care,
Troy
