The internet service is 10Mbps

It's good that you your ISP is sending data at 10mbps michael, but whether you receive at that speed is another question and depends on two things. (i) the capacity and quality of your telephone line (ii) the time of day and the number of other users also downloading data at the same time as you.
another variable is the size of the song and the quality it has been recorded at. a 10-minute-long song will take twice as long to download as a 5-minute song. a song recorded in high quality (resolution) will take longer to download than one recorded at a lower resolution.
there are other variables as well, but you probably don't need to hear them all. hope this helps. good luck.

Even though your internet service is 10Mbps, your download speed will not be 10Mbps. The speed also depends on the server(site) from which you are downloading the song. It also depends on the size of the song.

it depends on a lot of factors. You might have 10Mbps service, but it will probably not be 10Mbps all the time. Also, the server you are connecting to has a lot to do with the speed at which you will download

It depends on the service you are downloading it from. If it's P2P, the more people there is sharing the file the quicker it will download--On a good day it can take about 1-2 minutes and on bad about 20-30. If it's on iTunes, it shouldn't take no more than 10-20 seconds.

You will probably take less than a minute. But a few points to consider

- Location of network (if its somewhere geographically further make take a longer time)
-Bandwidth of server itself
-If you are talking about P2P then the bandwidth of the peer.

But it should take less than 5 minutes. Considering you have 10Mbps.

Depends on the file size
(format of the file and the length of the song, quality of the recording)
and the speed of the "High Speed".

In general, usually less than a minute.

maybe 30 seconds depend on the downstream speed of your modem and the qulality of the connection that you are downloading it from. You shoud be able to download 60 minutes of music within 10 minutes, Also, keep in mind that certain formats are faster and transfer at higher data rates such as MP3, Good luck,

It depends on the size of the file. I would say, if you were to download at your full speed, just a few seconds. If you are using P2P file sharing software (LimeWire, eMule, etc.), it will probably be slower because you are relying on other people's internet connections and how fast they can upload to you and also how many people are sharing that file and how big their queue is.

You may need to open a port on your router. Its like a firewall that keeps your pc safe. You can tell it that a port number is ok to send to you. Or it may be there are too few peers sending the song. You know you can receive lots faster than you can send right? So if the one sending is sending to several people your download will be slow. The idea of p2p (peer to peer) is for several peers to send you parts of the song but if there aren't that many sending it will take longer.

I have a broadband connection, and the speed will vary according to the file format and a few other factors, but usually it runs at 150 to 300 Kps. Hendoc
