Why is it an issue for you?? My husband goes and it isn't a jealous or possessive thing. It doesn't bother me for him to be at my appointments. He and my Dr chat it up like old pals.

Ew. When my wife [future] will go to the gynecologist I won't want to go with her. Now unless she really wanted me for some strange reason then ok I will.

Just schedule an appointment at a time when he will most likely be doing something else.
i.e If he likes watching a certian NFL team ever sunday make an appointment at that time. Then maybe you can make him his favorite lunch or snack before you leave. Most guys would rather be at home eating nachos or pizza watching the game than at a gynecologist's office.

Is your gynecologist a female or a male? Perhaps he gets uncomfortable with you being examined by a man but doesn't want to tell you....
I go to a female gyno...but my husband would never have a problem either way. I find it a bit strange that your husband would want to go with you. I would not want him with me unless I was going through any kind of fertility treatment.

My husband avoids it like the plague! I had a hard time getting him to come in for our kids ultra sounds! Explain to him that though you love him dearly its just not necessary for him to accompany you. Tell him you'll be more than happy to tell him all the details of the visit once your home.

Conspiracy theory: Is all well at home? Is he afraid that you may test positive for an STD that you know you did NOT get on your own and he wants to be there to defuse the situation?

If i was pregnant no i wouldn't have a problem. If he wanted to go with me to my annuals....yeah that would be kinda possessive weird. That's not pleasant for any female and i really don't want anyone else in there except for me and the doctor. But if i was pregnant, that's an experience we can have together.

ask him if he were to have to go to the doctor about his prostate or genitals, would he want you there??? probably not! tell him to mind his own business. just because you're married doesn't mean that you've lost all decency between you.
