Sehwag's repeated failures have nothing to do with any insecurity;on the contrary,it's the sense of complacency that is allowing him to make the same mistakes again & again.Sehwag gives the impression he believes he's irreplaceable. He keeps playing those mindless shots in the name of 'his natural game' & seems to be getting away with it too.Worse,he doesn't even show any remorse,if not real effort or restrain in the middle.
True,Sehwag may be a real match-winner, at least in a few fertile imaginations; But,it's time somebody told them they can't get by on talent alone; They need bread & butter,if not jam,to survive too.Sehwag in the last six visits to the crease have yielded just 54 runs with the sequence being 9,8,1,10,9,17.
Another fact worth noting is that in 159 ODI's he's scored just 7 centuries. Not a good figure for a opener who gets the maximum deliveries to bat.Maybe, a break will help him recharge his batteries.

This debate can stretch a long way!
I personally feel that not only Sehwag should remain in team but ganguly also should be brought back!!
Many readers might not agree with my views but as is evident in the recent champions trophy Indian Middle order is highly Volatile due to lack of an experienced player!
As far as Sehwaag is concerned he remains a threat to bowler as long as he is on Crease! Chucking him out will give opposition a huge physiological advantage!!

I strongly feel that repeated failure of shewag is a serious
cause of concern. Even after his repeated failures, he
is still retained in the team just because he is such a player
that if he comes to his form, he can demoralise any team
in the world. Added to this he is a very good fielder and
also a utility bowler. As long as India find out a suitable
substitute to fill up his place, India should continue with
him. However, he continues to fail in the future matches,
he should be dropped as no one sshould continue in the team as a lioability purely because of his past laurels

then whom u r going to Open with Tendulkar, Sevag is not so bad u remember Kaluwitharana of Sri who opened for Srilanka in the World Cup they won . He had given instruction to just go on in 15 overs that's what Sevag but he tries to make shot back to back whereas he should concentrate little more. That's it.

As a critic point of view he should be rested for this moment but look at the other angle he is live wire in team, when he is on field he is always been threat to opposition bowlers. and he is contributing with his bowling and fielding unlike ganguly.

It is not all fair to critize a person when he is facing a bad patch.
everyone will go through it.it may be 4r a season or two.even bradman went through this , it is always easy to talk 4m outside but it is difficult 2 get in there and perform.IF WE GIVE HIM SOMETIME HE WILL GET HIS RHYTM BACK AND PROVE 2 BE A MATCH WINNER 4R US.i think if dada does well he must be back wearing the india colours.

what little people do know is that by failing miserable 5-10 times, one will learn from his mistakes and will succeed 50 times... i would give sehwag more and more chances.. he is a class player

Give him permanent rest so that he can see his old friend. And he will get a chance to play with village firends again.
