I'm exctided for both, but with my budget, I must choose one for Xmas so...I'm going for Nintendo Wii: It's affordable, and I must say that I like the new motion sensor control! (And I can't to play Metroid again at long last!)

Wii, easily. Cheaper, and offering greater gameplay variety. Some games will use more traditional controls, but others will use the superb, highly-advanced motion sensing capability(the PS3's ability to sense motion is crude and primitive in comparison) to create entirely new and fresh experiences....and did I mention it's way cheaper?
And, of course, there's the "Virtual Console" that lets you download old Nintendo and Sega Genesis games for a small fee. Sure, you could emulate, but this way you could use a real controller and have it legit, if emulating bothers you...

I'm not a gamer but my boyfriend goes on about them both nonstop. The Nintendo Wii is more affordable and the motion sensors do kick ***. And the PS3 has plenty of more interesting things you can do with it. It plays blueray which if you buy separetly cost more than $600. But, as I'm sure you know, there will be a shortage of the PS3's and there wont be another shipment out until after christmas. So, I say buy the Wii now and start saving your money for the next shipment of PS3's.

Yes, I'm buying the Revolution as well (I think the name is seriously wrong, its so bad so I stick to the prototype name!) Anyway Nintendo games have always been the best and the most fun and entertaining! I cant wait for Super Smash bros Brawl or Zelda, Twilight Princess orr.. oh theres so many.
Its quite sad that so many kids will be asking for a Wii (wee) for Christmas, isn't it. The parents will be pleased they dont have to spend much this year, lol. Anyway you've made the right choice since the PS3 will cost around £425!! The blood sucking leaches, at least Nintendo ain't selfish and want to provide a fun gaming experience for everyone, not just the well off!

Wii, easy choice for me since I don't have enough to get a PS3 anyway...plus the games coming out for the Wii look alot more original and not more of the same stuff that's coming out on the PS3 (Ridge racer 7, Tekken 6 etc)....haven't played Zelda for a long time either, and this next one is predicted to be the best one yet (aka the best game of all time.... :)

i would go for the nintendo, i have always been a nintendo fan, we have all the nintendo systems, not that they all work properly(NES) but they are fun and more young people oriented, so the kiddies can buy game that they can actually play according to the ratings.
