The guy's only 25. How can he justify an autobiography, he's not an actor or a rock star, he's just an over-payed footballer who's probably thick and uncultured, as a huge percentage of them are. His enormous wealth has reeled in a pretty but untalented trophy wife and he's had the celebrity wedding of the year. Bully for him. If I was drunk enough to accidentally buy his book, I'd proudly admit to the world that I set it on fire when I sobered up. I'd not say the same for similar books by Steven Gerrard or Wayne Rooney though, you'd get some great tips on how to make things fall off the back of a lorry.

Asley cole-greedy!!!!!- I've just been reading some excerpts from this dimwits tragic book. And football players wonder why the general public cannot relate to them? Seriously, this guy is living on another planet.

Cole:

"My worst fears were confirmed when, as Thierry and I sat in the centre circle after the final whistle(last game at highbury), his name was sung from the rooftops while my contribution was recognised by a deafening silence.

"As his chants faded away we waited for mine. and we waited. And there was nothing. 'They're not bothered about me', I said, resigned to the fact. It was like I was the invisible man."

Oh my god, talk about EGO!! This guy's is huge. Can you imagine if every other star player started crying because their name wasn't sung in the centre circle?

Cole:

"As it turned out, the Arsenal board had other ideas about rubber-stamping Mr Dein’s recommendation. At a board meeting held two days before our 1–0 away defeat at Bolton in January, it was decided the maximum offer should be £55,000 a week. I don’t believe the board gave a damn about keeping me. It preferred to haggle over a difference of £5,000."

Ok, so first of all, why do keep knocking Dein. If he recommended £60k and the board said £55k, then it was obviously not Dein's fault. Do you know what a recommendation is?

"I don’t believe the board gave a damn about keeping me."

Ok, so Dein offers you £35k, which you call a "hell of a lot of money", but you want more because even though it's a hell of a lot money, you want a hell of a lot more, so Arsenal offer you £55k, and somehow you took this as meaning Arsenal don't want you?!?

Cole:

"Ash! Are you listening?" said a virtually hyperventilating Jonathan. "I’m here in the office and David Dein is saying they aren’t going to give you £60k a week. They’ve agreed £55k and this is their best and final offer. Are you happy with that?"

When I heard Jonathan repeat the figure of £55k, I nearly swerved off the road. "He is taking the piss, Jonathan!" I yelled down the phone. I was so incensed. I was trembling with anger."

First of all, it's illegal to use your mobile while driving dimwit. Second, ahem... see how this reads to the man on the street Cashley. You are "trembling with anger" because Arsenal only offered you £55 GRAND A WEEK!!

No, not me! It's a waste of money, and is he popular now? He's notorious!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd rather buy the limited edition Pele Picture book that has his signature as, well as the signature of his teammates in the 1970 winning brazil squad, which is worth $20,000!

Can't admit to what I didn't or wouldn't do. He's shown himself to be a selfish, self-centered bore, I'll pass on the book I already know way too much about him.

lol what would possess someone to buy a book on a player who got offered a 55k a week contract and wanted 5k more??? Steven Gerrard's book looks way more appealing personally!

it was so obvious that cole tried to make a quick buck (or pound) after it became clear that his move to chelsea was just a matter of time ( and money ). man what a traitor.
