My husbands father is a big smoker and he rode in my car over the weekend. He was nice enough not to smoke inside but the smell was still on him. Any suggestions on how to get the smell out?

A couple shallow containers of vinegar will rid the car of the smokey smell. Sounds strange but it works in the house as well. Just make sure you remove them before you drive the car. It will work overnite very well. Fabreeze will only temporarily mask the odor.

Febreeze is a good option
A box of baking soda is also good for absorbing moisture. They sell some boxes that have mesh sides so that it will absorb smells without the box being open with potential for spilling.

Get a fresh apple and cut it in half and place under your seats in an old butter dish etc. Leave in you car until the odor goes away you may have to repeat this but it will get rid of the odor

You can use Febreeze or Dittol Nutra Air they are both perfect for removing bad smell.

try febreeze..it works a dream on carpets. Reckon it'ld do the same for a car. Should be available in most supermarkets.

Buy one large bottle of Febreeze, douse the entire interior, open the windows and drive around until it's dry.

just open the windows up on it real good and air it out,and use some Fe breeze in it,and it will go away from it,it might take a good day to get it out,good luck.
