Here it goes... I can’t decide which to get - the new Nintendo wii or the ps3. I’ve been a Nintendo fan for yeas but I gotta admit that lately their games don’t seem to compare to those of Sony or even Microsoft. The only game that I’m looking forward to for the Wii is the new Zelda game – but even that I can play on my GC. Plus I’m not a fan of the new wii remote. As for the ps3’s games I’m really interested in the new Devil May Cry 4 and Final Fantasy XIII. The only thing that bothers me about the ps3 is its price. Got any clues as to which one I should decide on and why?

I am going with the PS3. Been a nintendo & sega fan in the past. Currently have a PS2. Other than what you already know about how great the games are gonna be, another thing to consider is this. Have you heard about the Blue Ray DVD's, they are the newest technology. Well Blue Ray DVD players are gonna cost $1,000 each. But if you get the PS3 you get an AWESOME gaming system plus it plays the blue ray dvds. Remember when the PS2 came out? DVD players were brand new then & people said the same thing about the PS2, that it was too expensive, but you got a dvd player out of it also. Go with the PS3, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Wii, easily. Cheaper, and offering greater gameplay variety. Some games will use more traditional controls, but others will use the superb, highly-advanced motion sensing capability(the PS3's ability to sense motion is crude and primitive in comparison) to create entirely new and fresh experiences....and did I mention it's way cheaper?
And, of course, there's the "Virtual Console" that lets you download old Nintendo and Sega Genesis games for a small fee. Sure, you could emulate, but this way you could use a real controller and have it legit, if emulating bothers you...
That's what I said to a similiar question. To yours in particular...keep in mind that motion sensing is a FEATURE, and won't necessarily be part of every game. It can use Gamecube controllers as well as its own minus the motion-sensing. It should also be noted that basically every developer under the sun has been singing the Wiimote's praises and have expressed a lot interest in utilizing its unique capabilities. The Wii also features a rather impressive list of launch titles and a far greater availability than the PS3(like, literally, a million Wiis compared to something like a few thousand PS3s.) So you're more likely to be able to get a Wii.
But maybe you ought to try it out before you buy it, given your concerns...

well i understand how u feel ... usually i wod say wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii al the way but in your case im gona say this : u obviously really want a ps3 so here is what i wod do if i wer u
i wod buy a wii now enjoy the top rated game in the world (twili...) try it out enjoy it have fun play with ur friends u get wii sports free too .. then a year from now u buy a ps3 wen they drop the price to the half after they discover what they r up against and just abt time 4 all the good games that come out 4 ps3

I'm getting a Wii myself but it sounds like your leaning more towards the PS3...DMC4, FFxiii, Metel Gear Solid 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4 will be amazing

Well its simple if you want a VERY powerful console and highly
well built games ps3 is the answer... but if you want a less expensive console in every aspect and you want everyone to be playing it and you like less built games its WII..as you said the ps3 IS expensive but if you really like FF13 and DMC4 you should save your money and go buy ps3... I personally recommend
ps3 because I really like MGS4 and the two games you mentioned... so in my opinion you should definitely buy the ps3

The PS 3 is the better bet but u would rather go for Xbox 360 which is much better in control and graphics
