As an ex-smoker (4 years) I am a very strong advocate of any measures taken to reduce tobacco use and the resulting smoke that is so deadly anywhere in public. I still have a bit of the old "user" in me but mostly the smell of the smoke sickens me. I would really hate to get cancer now from second hand smoke just by being in public. Singapore is considering a smoke free city, state, country. Hooray !

Yes, I do believe that they have this right. Only in the United States to we believe that it is the government's job to be the parents of the whole world. The more nuisance law that we keep adding on the books are infringing on our personal freedoms and turning us into the communist countries that we fought so hard to say we were better than. Now American children wear school uniforms, we must wear seat belts in our cars, people are not allowed to smoke in public places, there are even public places that are monitored by cameras. This is horrible! We are no longer the land of the free. People need to start worrying about more important issues that if your neighbor smokes in a public restaurant. For example, where are all of my personal freedoms going. Thought you would also like to know that I am not a smoker and it doesn't really bother me if other people are. They live their lives and make choices everyday the same way I do. Just cause they choose to do something different doesn't make it wrong it just makes it different.

As long as it's legal to smoke, you shouldn't punish them for participating in a lawful activity.
Besides, we all drive cars that pollute the air, use air conditioners that pollute, buy products from companies that pollute....where's the difference?
And, no, I do not smoke. I'm just saying: fair is fair. If it's legal, then leave them alone. Now, if you make smoking unlawful, that's a different story......

Only if people who don't smoke can walk up to them and blow their brains out, speeding up the process.

No. But they should be beheaded and have their heads posted on a pike in front of their house so that everyone can feel their shame.

Please move on - there are certainly more important things to be concerned about these days.
If the Islamic terrorists living in your back yard have it their way, you will be breathing nothing but smoke. Provided that you are still breathing.

No. Here's what I don't get. You see someone driving in a car, smoking, with the window down to draw the smoke out? Duh! If it bothers you don't smoke!
