I can't get the thing working...
I tried to send a text to my neighbour saying
"can I have my pinking shear back please"
but I ended up sending him
"I am thinking all the time of your wife, daughters and border collie"
- which is obviously not want I wanted to send at all
I think I will stick with the normal way of writing, it is a lot safer

yeah, once i tried to say:
"hello babe, how are you" but it came out as:
"i contracted herpes from your family dog and then passed it onto your dad. just thought you would want to know in case your vagina falls off anytime in the near future. from your loving homosexual shoe engineer, kiddie fiddler 2006. happy new year 1984."

lol, i dont seem to have a problem with it. usually you just hit the 0 (next) key and it changes the word for you. (verizon customer here)
BTW, dont let technology stop you from learning what it has to offer. I know some people that dont even know how to use computers and still own records (wont even think of buying a CD player - MP3 player) because they are afraid of CHANGE. I think its a pretty sad deal.

I don't use predictive text. Its like having a cell phone with Tourette's syndrome. That feature gets 2 thumbs down from me!

Odd, when I try to type that with predictive input I get
"Aan I haven my riolimg ridas back please."
I am pretty sure my phone is Japanese.

no, it has the predictive ability of a horoscope. i've never been able to construct a meaning full message with it.
