they have the " B*ALLS" ? Mexico is one of the richest countries in the western hemesphire. It has oil, minerals, nature, agriculture, tourism, beautifull sea resorts,....
Actually, Mexicans should be richer than Americans, if it was not for their corrupt govermnet & Fox. They need to do what Venezualns did, throw out the Pro US corrupt government & put Hugo Shavez who is distrubiting the oil wealth among its people, which does not go well with our US government & call it " buying their vote". I wish my US Congress would buy my vote & give me some of their wealth from their secret Swiss Bank accounts !!!

Good point. If they really want to make a change, they should do it IN Mexico, not here. It's easy for anyone to say and do radical things about their own country when they are not in it. The only way to make a change in Mexico, is to do it there, not here. Doing it here will not put the point across.

You pick and choice what information you think you heard. But, you are young so it is understandable,
Mexico is not one of the richest countries in the world but it isn't one of the poorest.
What Mexico is rich in is natural resources and many very rich individuals. So does South Africa which means nothing.

A rich country like the USA is rich because of its inovative people and the ability to have an ecomony where the people can produce products that their own citizens can buy and trade within its own borders. Prior to the 80's the USA produced 75% of all the goods consumed in the world.Which kept us the riches country in the world.Today we do less then 30%. but we can still trade within our borders.
Mexico like many other third world countries are to far on the wrong side of the curve to ever catch up, They will never be a first world country but that doesn't mean they couldn't have a good economy that their people to live good.
When the US came into the Industrial age Mexican and other countries like them stayed in the pre- iron age. They stayed being farmers wiht a more simplier life style. They do have corrupt gov't. and they have had a number of civil wars and they are not that old of a country.
Being you problably don't read any papers or you would know they are now on a vague of a civil war in many of their states.
This is one of the reason we let illegals in to defuse what is now going to happen anyway and the fear it will go communist. It wasn't because we need cheap labor or like Mexicans.

All countries buy vote by the promises of what they will do for you if you vote for them. The only money handing out is to people of power and influence. Sorry your not one of them.
Nothing is stopping you from having a Swiss account or offshore account just money. Many of us have them. Nothing secret about them it is just smart investment.

Today, Mexicans are waking up to the emply promises each election brings without any change. You just better hope it doesn't get out of hand at least before we can have more fences built. China is even extending their border fences between them and North Korea fearing what is going to happen there.

It's not government corruption that is the problem here, it's the class structure and rampant capitalism. The rich get richer and the poor, poorer. Sound familiar? It's the same north of the border. Fox and his party, and the new president are supported by the USA. It would be hard to get a leftist government elected here because of US pressure. Look what they did to Chile and Nicaragua.
As least one Mexican president, Lazaro Cardenas, had the balls to kick out foreign oil and mining interests in the thirties so that Mexico owns it's own natural resources.
Later:
I am amazed that people who know nothing about this country are expressing opinions based on completely erroneous information. Another name for this is prejudice.
You have to live here and experience Mexico before you are qualified to offer an opinion.

The lack of awareness and insensitivity of persons's solutions are stressful. No volume of "fixing their u . s ." will replace the undeniable fact that poverty and suffering are realities in Mexico and the U.S. is an fairly rich u . s . (which consumes around 35% of the international's ability-yet that's a distinctive tale). for sure many Mexicans migrate to the northern border to artwork for US transnational companies that pay them 50 cents an hour. And if Mexico tries to boost those wages the companies arise and leave for China. So in keeping with possibility we, interior the U. S., have a function to play in recovering situations in Mexico via pressuring our very own companies to pay residing wages there. Then in keeping with possibility they does no longer flow the border lots. yet with all your courtroom circumstances relating to the undocumented workers, i'm particular you all savor the vegetables they p.c.., and the blue denims they stitch, and the centers they provide in eating places and motels...

You don't know enough about the country to say they should. The government down in Mexico has everybody under their thumb. If people stood up against their own govt, families would be dead, jobs would be gone, Mexico would be at war with itself.
Why?
Because Mexico is not America, because it has its own laws and those in control use whatever means to maintain power.
They prefer to remain under the radar, and to have the money going into the pockets of the high and mighty, the people can't go after these men whom outnumber them, out weapon them, and completely hold them hostage.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

The number two source of funding for Mexico is US dollars sent home to relatives.

But yes, they have a ridiculously corrupt government. It's obviously a wonderful place because so many people vacation there. (Me included on several occasions) I can't believe the poeple don't stand up and fight for it.
