Well, let's see- there's the Work Me, who uses horrible cliches like "on the same page" and "get this project nailed down." Then there's Date Me, who I haven't had to use in a few years since I've been with my boyfriend, but Date Me is a way more together, less-crazy version of myself who always has a kind thing to say about everybody, and who doesn't fuss with her looks at all, yet somehow still always looks amazing. Party Me is an amped-up hipster who enjoys hearing people's boring anecdotes about lame stuff like their cats, what "percentile" their children are in, weight-wise, or their gallbladder operation, all while offering engouragement and sympathetic looks.
Me With my Dad is a vacant, surface person who likes to keep things focused on small talk rather than feelings. Me With My Brother is an insecure, gawky doofus who never aged past 13, mentally and physically, and is forever trying to impress. Dorky Me comes out to play when watching a quiz show or playing Trivial Pursuit. She goes hand in hand with Competitive Me, and the two personas team up to smoke everyone with my seemingly bottomless supply of useless knowledge.
Me at Home is a nice mix of June Cleaver, a potty-mouthed truck driver, and a porn star, with a little Beavis and Butt-head thrown in for good measure. Me With My Boyfriend is sometimes sweet, sometimes terribly snotty, always loving and caring. Bitchy Me comes out to play when I've been massively wronged by someone, when my plans for an evening unexpectedly fall though, when I have no plans to begin with, and when people are being annoying. This version of me can cut you at the knees with insults, snotty tone, and looks that can kill. Oh, and watch out for projectiles, because this version of me throws things.
Then there's Me With My Guy Friends, who enjoys eating half a pizza and washing it down with beer, then saying "pull my finger!" Oh, and don't forget Me With My Girl Friends, who suddenly gets all giddy about shopping, makeup, and discussing why guys are "like that." However, I think out of all these personas, the one I would say comes closest to being the Real Me is Me With My Mom, because I know I can be as insecure, judgmental, cynical, exhhuberant, nutty, childish, pouty, or strange as I want to be and she'll totally get what I'm trying to say.

I think we all have personas. Most of us DO NOT, no matter how much we think we might, act the same way in every single situation. We have our persona when we are with friends, we have our persona when we are in the workplace, we have a persona when we are around family members, etc.

Every human being has a dual personality. I have my personality, my distinctive and quiet persona. Then there is the always loving, never given up , strong and humble me. Then there is the frustrated angered and non faith blasphemer ,blaming God for everything.Who I'm I . I don't know anymore.

a zillion, and they're all the real me, in different dimensions. do i identify with one over the other? well, it's not like face the nation or anything like that = no actual splitting of realities = not like putting on a different outfit each day.....it's just well....like being plaid, or being stew -- a little bit of everything, in all different forms and shapes and directions. so far, it works for me.

Fortunately I only have one. As I always try to be myself all the time, you can find the real me at any time too.
