I was making a left turn today, and cut a curb on the driveway. Now my car makes a thumpa-thumpa noise when I drive at lower speeds, turn and even start after braking. Almost as if there's something stuck in the undercarriage or rubbing. Upon external inspection I've found nothing out of the ordinary.
I'm thinking I messed up the alignment or worse yet ganked a cv joint???

Ends up I snapped my suspension bar. I bought my car and lived in Michigan for 6 years...the snow and road salt rusted the bar, and the curb bumping caused it to snap! It was a clean break, and could have happened at any time--I just helped it along buy driving over the curb. :-)

At the VERY LEAST you bent something and my guess is you did a good job of it. Get it to a good front end shop and have it inspected. I'll bet they find something. Be sure to describe the incident that caused the damage and the symptomatic noises you are experiencing. Oh Yeah, do this SOON, or tire damage may be the least problem you have to deal with.

the thumpa thumpa reminds me of a broken radial in the tire, check the tire that hit the curb for a lump somewhere on the tread... if you dont see it (or feel it) wait a few days and the noise and pulling will worsen till you can find it

depending upon the model,it could be numerous things, alignment as one suggested, tire out of balance, these are the cheaper problems,it could also be the cv joint like you suggested,I'd check out the boot on the joint'cause theres a bearing on the axle that mightve busted,or the shock might have mis-aligned from the impact..hope its cheap and simple good luck

It has to be the alignment. You could have also broken a belt in your tire. Check out your tire and make sure it looks normal.

easily jack the car, remove the tire you will find a round metal sheet behind the brakes disk, check if its curved to inside,if its you can give it a little push to go back to its position.

sounds like it is your cv joint and your boot. and they aren't cheap. take it to a shop and find out. that's all you can do, if you wait too long the damage will get worse.
