I have a wonderful wife and 2 great kids. I need some suggestions that will surprise her. Something that is uncommon, that can be done at home. Something that is out of the ordinary.

HIRE A SITTER. UNPLUG THE PHONES. MAKE DINNER. LIGHT SOME CANDLES. RUN A BUBBLE BATH. GET IN THERE WITH HER AND BATHE HER SLOWLY AND SEDUCTIVELY. WASH HER HAIR. APPLY HER FAVORITE LOTION/OIL TO HER BODY WHILE GIVING HER A FULL BODY MASSAGE.
FOCUS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY ON HER RELAXATION WITH NO EXPECTATION OF SEX OR GRATIFICATION ON YOUR PART. PAMPER HER UNTIL SHE IS TOTAL MUSH IN YOUR HANDS. TRY NOT TO TALK -- SHOW HER HOW MUCH SHE MEANS TO YOU AS YOUR WIFE AND AS THE MOTHER OF YOUR CHILDREN.

I bet if you cleaned the house really good, or hired someone to do it and then had a bath ready for her and a really good dinner at home. (call one of her friends to see what type of 'crap' to put in a bath, trust me it is bizarre and you can order a pre cooked gourmet/catered meal that is very nice). She would be blown away. The more thoughtful you are about her needs and the more effort you put in, the more she will appreciate it. Most husbands don't really see what a wife has to deal with every day, if you show her you care about her needs she will love you for ever!

First you'll want to get an all night babysitter... like you didn't already know that.
I don't really know a lot of unique ways to romance a woman...it really depends on your wife. One thing that I know for certain is universal for all women is the need/desire to be cherished. To be treated in every way like you are the most amazing, lovely, sexy, desirable woman. Its about making her feel like the most amazing cherished woman you've ever known or will know....she'll melt in your arms...trust me.
Put yourself aside, do something that she really enjoys (maybe like watch a chick flick) but that you might not be thrilled about. Hold her, give her nice words, dim the lights, cook or order her favorite meal. Where something that she loves you in...no matter how you feel about the outfit. Write her a letter and read it to her. Make her (through your actions) remember the sparks that flew when you first started dating.
These are just some ideas, but they are things most any woman would like. Brainstorm and think of things that would mean a lot to your wife specifically (depending on her personality).

Come home with a bouquet of ROSES for her :) Be really excited to see her, an dkiss her like you did you when you were dating :) Run a bubble bath for her, get the kids ready for bed and have a VERY fun romantic night (order dinner). after work bring home a dozen roses and put them on the table. make her dinner and just let her relax. let her take a bubble bath with rose peddles in the bathroom as you take care of the kids. after the kids go to bed. Just send the night with your wife watching the first movie togther.
there is so many things you can do for your wife. just use your brain man. your smart.

If you have the money get her some flowers like daisys and on one of the stems put a ring around it (diamond, ruby, emerald, saffire, etc...) and tell her there is a gift somewhere in the flowers...she will love it.
Write her a note about what you love about her, have it framed along with a picture of the two of you.

Ok, the best gifts I have ever gotten are pictures. Make her a mural of you and her and your babies and different things you've done together, maybe some of her favorite candy wrappers or ticket stubs or something that would make her laugh. Have your kids put their hand prints on it and do some doodles....put flower petals and maybe some soft fabrics like silk or lace on it.....

Cook dinner for her, have a candlelit dinner ready for her and have the kids with a sitter. Rent her fav movie and have an evening of relaxing and enjoying eachothers company. Good luck

Make a scavenger hunt ... Put a note on the door so when she goes home has to read it and have a clue to go to another note, then another and so on.... Then eventually have the notes lead to a candelight dinner or bath.

You need to fix dinner, get flowers, get a baby sitter. Tell her what she means to you. Most all tell her that you love her not the everyday I love you bit. Be creative in the love dept. Ask her what she wants and provide.'
