You know how guys always slap each other on the butt when something good happens during a game? Where did that come from? What is the origin of that experience?

Well you know some bums just need a good slap.

I reckon it started with volleyball, all they do is clap and slap on every point won. It bores me as it is plastic behaviour, not from the heart.

I would rather people put their energy into winning than slappin each other on the backside, keep that stuff for the bedroom, and use a paddle n whip

That back i the day men had a slap the but to call them in the game and it was like alright you go in now slap so people thought that was the way to praise them so it stuck as a weird way of saying good job buddy. and the rest is history.

Tradition? I don't know about that. It sure beats having a team mate come over to congratulate me on a good play and sticking his finger in my nose, don't you think?
