Yes many people will never know when they are going to die and this matter is of no concern, But for people like me ( I'm dying of cancer) death is an unwelcome guest that will come at the worst possible time. Life matters not death. Every day that I can spend with my babies is a gift. And the only regret that i have is that probably i wont see them grow up ,get married and have babies of their own. that makes me angry. death only matters when you really want to live.

That depends on your perceptions of death. If you consider death as the ending of your life, no more no less, than yes I think it should matter. But, if like me, you perceive death as an other step in an infinite cycle of evolution than I believe that you should do what you need to do to the best of your abilities and you'll benefit from your experiences when the next step in evolution comes. I'm not talking about Paradise or any religious mumbo jumbo either. For me, there is no hell, there is no heaven. What we say is heaven or hell, we make for our selves by whether not living you life to the fullest or by cherishing every moment no matter how trivial that moment might seem and believe me nothing is trivial.

It depends on your beliefs and focus.
To a person who believes in an afterlife death is a doorway.
To a person who believes in reincarnation death is a passage from one existence to the next.
To a person who believes this life is it and there is nothing to follow, death is the ending.
So I based on the above I would say death is important.
To the person who believes in an afterlife death is kind of like the point where the timer shuts off and your deeds to that point will have some bearing on what your afterlife will be like.
To the person who believes in reincarnation it also is kind of like the timer shutting off and again your deeds will dictate your next incarnation.
To the person who beleives that this is it. Again the timer is shutting off but that's it, so for them it is extremely important.
So I guess the short answer is "YES".

No, because earth is like a market place when you finish from the market, you have to go home. In this instance Heaven is our home. it all depends on individual, there is still a beyond home where visible eye can not see but after this life, there is eternity and hell fire but death is the key to this two places, that one will give accounts to all the deeds and acts done here on earth whether good or bad and it pay to be doing good at all time not to fear death.

My first impression is that it the concept of death is the unknown and therefore kind of scary.. We know nothing about it. For those in pain it could be a blessing, for others it could mean leaving those we love and I think it is scary because no-one has come back to tell me what it is like. I hope this doen't sound garbles but it is my first thought.

Not really, I mean, all of us will one day not wake up to see the sun rise, feel the warmth of a day, smell a flower but life goes on without us, new life is always replacing that which is gone. Death is part of life.

.....Death is inevitable to everything. Things live, and when they have run out of life, they die. It is natural, and though science has been able to prolong death for many, they cannot stop it. Without death, the world would over populate and even more would die.....

Death is just the beginning....
It doesn't matter as an end, but it does matter as a beginning.
