I'm writing a silly book set on a world of living pastries, cakes and desserts. What would you be, and why? Any Pavlova-people in the community? Eclairs? Puddings? Utterly stupid question I know, but hopefully fun. Justify your choice for a chance of getting the 10 points...

I had a recipe that was called "Better than sex" http://www.sptimes.com/2003/12/17/news_pf/Taste/Better_than_sex_You_b.shtml
I would be this dessert. The reason is that so many young people, especially women sell themselves short. They lower their standards. I want to savor the good in life and give and get enjoyment without becoming an object. I feel life is a dessert and it should be savored and shared and everyone should enjoy it.

I'd merely be a stick of gum. I'd want to stick with you for a while. Let you "chew" on my thoughts. I might be satisfying and refreshing in the beginning. But I'm sure as time passed, I would become tasteless and bland. I would then get deserted and stuck under a chair somewhere waiting to be scraped off by a custodian. Yep....that's pretty much me. A piece of gum.

I do eclair, this question takes the cake. It is sweet of you to ask, though. The answer is as easy as pie. I would be a lemon custard. I would hold my ground and make my own custard's last stand.

I'd be Bananas Foster. Sounds like a good guy to know, a guy people like to hang around with. Cherries Jubilee sounds a little, well, "avant garde", and Napoleon a little too full of himself.

Tapioca Pudding .. not the instant variety, but the old fashioned, takes-forever-to-prepare kind.

It's...well...old-fashioned, a bit out of the ordinary, requires time (overnight) and thought, and you need to pay attention to it to get it RIGHT.

But when you do, it is surprising, flavorful, completely unique and refreshing.

if you have come to visit the philippines and got a taste of suman sa ibus served with ripe mangoes that would be me! then a cup of local chocolate, or tabliya will complete the treat. It's a flavorful blend of sweetness with a fruity and nutritious taste.

I would be a chocolate muffin. Why? Because it describes my life. I'm kinda crusty on the outside, but warm and soft on the inside. My life is kind of bittersweet (like the chocolate), and I'm short and stocky.

Jelly Belly count as a dessert?

I will specify later why I am this. Too personal for YA.

I'm a Baklava. Layer upon layer of rich phyllo covered in honey's sticky goodness and cinnamon. Watch out for my nuts though...they sometimes get stuck in your teeth.
