Things like someone slipping on an icy patch and falling on their butt, or someone being hit in the head with a basketball, or dropping an armload of groceries all over the street, etc.
I hate to say it, but I have done that. I know it makes me appear insensitive, but sometimes it just hits me as being hysterical, and I can't control myself.
Of course, once I get myself under control, I always try to run over and help, but they usually give me a dirty look. It makes me feel bad, but I just can't help myself sometimes.

Unfortunately this happens too often. But I remember when it happens to me the most. Like the time I was 9 and I was riding my bike and I called my babysitter a name cause I was mad at him. I was pedaling faster and faster to get away when my foot flew off the pedal and into the spokes and I flew off my bicycle head first and rammed my face into the pavement. He laughed really hard until he realized I wasn't joking around by crying because it hurt so bad. So he carried me home and called his mom who checked me over for anything broken. Nothing was.

You can go ahead and laugh, because I think it's hilarious now.

No I've Never laughed at anyones misfortune.
I think those that do are heartless.
your type need to experience being
laughed at when you have misfortune.
Too many jerks laughed at me when
my grocery bag broke. Now a days
I carry a bag with me that's much
stronger than a grocery bag..Some
jerks even laugh at that! I tell them
why.. then they understand and
apologizes. I really don't see how
someone's misfortune can strike
someone as funny! Would you
laugh at your own misfortune?
I bet not so why laugh at someone
elses? I am one that would give
you a look that is suppose to mean:
Who do you think you are laughing
at one's misfortune?

Yes I did at my father in law who was by far not beloved by me. He had akways been mean spirited and made fun of my father, Then when he had his stroke and was going to the hospital he wouldn't leave until I assured him that the 3 of spaced was under the four of aces. He was not playing cards. It was imature of me and although as I stated he was not beloved of me, it was cruel. Just because he had always been cruel didn't make it right for me to do that.

I think everyone's done that, people laugh at me all the time and vice versa. Generally it's not that big of a deal, it's just the pride that gets hurt.
