I bit my nails (I know that its gross) but I have noticed that people who have certain personality traits in common with me also bit their nails. Is there an explanation or is it just a coincidence?

the stress in our lives makes us do things like this.i have seem people that sits and bits their nails because of this kind of stress and this happens with our daily things we go through like job, home, our spiritual lives as well.
it makes us find our selves in a deep thinking pattern and we need something to get us something to do with our hands so we bit our nails.
it then becomes a habit after that.
some people bit their nails and other smoke and others eat.
it's just habit.
