I'm Glad the congress is a do nothing congress.. I hope they keep being the do nothing congress. The only thing they should do is protect the American people from invasion and provide for the GENERAL ware fare of it's citizens.
BLAH BLAH BLAH The Constitution never claimed you have the right to have health care.(or any other freebie) It states clearly that you can pursue happiness. It never should have started Social Security.
It's against Federal Regulations for any Hospital to refuse anyone medical care. period. IE they have health insurance.
But I guess you all want us to become a communist country. You know the place where we take money from the hard working Americans and give it to the people to refuse to work.... yeah I'm a little upset with the liberal thinking in this country. You want health insurance? GET A JOB I have NEVER worked for a company that DIDNT offer health coverage.
GET AN EDUCATION: Studies have proved that having an AS degree raises the average salary by 40% 40$ can you believe it?? PS If you cant afford COLLEGE the GOVERNMENT WILL PAY FOR IT!!!!
STOP THE HANDOUTS!

So, it's okay that the government is spending all the money that should be going into social security and the money will be used up soon so that the older generation will have nothing to support them even though they've paid into the system their whole lives???
And it's also okay that large and increasing number of middle class people/families can't afford health insurance and can't get it through their work so they can't afford treatment because medications are exorbitantly high priced.
There are tons of things that congress can do that could make our life better. The problems come when people try to sneak other things onto the bill which aren't so good, or when congressmen say"oh, that's not my area, I'm not going to bother going in to vote on it)

Well, not exactly a do nothing congress. While they arrive to work Tuesday afternoon--and are gone by Thursday afternoon. Congress actually spends less than 100 days a year 'working'. They do spend a majority of their time (while congress is in session)--in their DC residences raising money for their respective parties. Aren't you glad we're paying them to raise money to slander the other side? How bout we pass a law that there is no CAMPAIGN FUND RAISING while congress is in session? And how about they work 2 (full) weeks on and one week off (home) then 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off? They can raise money on their 'off' weeks. Oh yeah--let's scrap their retirement deal--and they can have a health plan more like mine.

In a way, yes it is good that Congress hasn't made many controversial laws, but they have made many incredibly stupid and pointless laws recently. The stupidest was probably the recent energy bill. Always take into consideration that con is the opposite of pro, which means that Congress is the opposite of Progress.

The problem is, they were the do-everything-wrong Congress immediately prior to that. So basically they F everything up, and then sit on their hands instead of fixing it.

The important point here is that "it couldn't hurt" to do nothing.
