I don't think there is such a thing as a "perfect wife" or "perfect homemaker"
I think there are some who are close though.
Ok Where to start? Not everything on list may apply

Doing dishes
Cooking
Canning
Baking
Dusting
Sweeping/cleaning floors
washing windows
doing laundry
Ironing
teaching children right from wrong
bringing in firewood for fireplace
keeping family finances in order and up to date
grocery shopping
attending school functions of children
cleaning ceiling fans and curtains
making the beds
cleaning bathrooms
decorating your home
decorating the home for special occasions
disciplining children
encouraging children to pick up after themselves
picking up after other people like spouse and guests
teaching your children to cook and clean
teaching your children to do laundry
feeding/watering pets
cleaning up after pets
walking pets
sewing
laughing
knowing when to relax and let someone else help
being kind to in laws/step children
hosting family events (his or your family)
preparing special meals for certain events like birthdays
being kind to neighbors
paying for gas for the family vehicle so teenage children can drive all the gas out of it. lol
being kind to your parents esp if they live with you.
having an home atmosphere where all your children's friends want to be at your house so you what the kids are up to
gardening flower and veggie
washing walls
listening to your children's stories and dreams
encouraging your children to think for themselves
playing games as a family with children/grandchildren
playing with pets
moving/watering lawn (yes I know it should be a guy thing but sometimes we have to do it instead)
grilling out

The number one answer though is loving your family enough to want to do these things. It should be done with love not a sense of duty or dread. Now some of these things I dread doing and I don't like doing them but I do them joyfully because it makes life better overall

A good homemaker is a person (male or female) who creates an environment that is comfortable, welcoming, nurturing and a respite from the worries of the world outside.

A good homemaker can hold a job outside the house or work from the house in addition to the job they do inside their house. Though there are many instances where attempting to hold an outside job and the job of home-maker is not financially or physically possible and one or the other job must be chosen to maintain the welbeing of the family unit.

A good homemaker anticipates the needs of the people who live in the home and their own needs as well, and and stays aware and current on supplies that the group requires to eat, sleep, clean and maintain the home.

And a good homaker- male or female teaches these skills to everyone else in the house and then deligates the duties evenly to all household members as they reach an age or skill level to be able to take on their fair share of the work required to run a household.

Well, i am a house wife... only have one child at home and feel guilty sometimes because i feel i should work. In meaning that it;s different when you have 2 or 3 or even 4 kids and you have to be a stay at home mom. I have a full time job here though. I get free time to do this at times when i need a break for myself. I totally take care of my husband and daughter. My husband has nothing to worry about. I see to that. His lunch is made to take everyday, clothes are always washed, dinner cooked every night, i do the bills, grocery shopping, the help on the homework from my daughter, house is always clean and so on. I am one who keep things in order around the house and i like it that way. Being home when my daughter gets home from school is something she can count on as well as in the morning to have me here to get her going. It's not really skill it's a willingness to keep a happy and harmonious home front. I will say that not working there are those that ask favors from me but i don't mind helping people out.

A househusband of course! One who takes care of all the domestic duties to perfection so that when I come home from the office I can relax in a nice clean house with dinner made.
