Why isn't Mexico ashamed that many of its citizens are fleeing and invading another nation? How can lawbreakers accuse victims of anything?

Kmennie, when Americans begin fleeing into Canada after our country has been conquered by Mexico, how will you keep us out? Will you build a fence, or welcome us with open arms?

Which is your question, the fence, fleeing citizens, accusing lawbreakers?????

The fence is a joke, it will take illegal aliens to build it for that is all we can afford at the price it will cost. Lets figure this out over 2000miles of border with Mexico and 700miles of fence, good math bad idea. The true embarrassment is that the US thinks that this will work.. Hell, a river can't even keep them out.

It'll be an embarassment if it doesn't get built. What I'd like to see is not only a fence but more border patrol as well.

I totally agree, but Mexico seems to be a very ****** up country with a lot of internal problems. I guess the Mexican pres. figures if the poor from his country jump the border to illegally live in the States, it's one less thing he has to concern himself with. Now that the fence will be built (HOPEFULLY), it will deter some otherwise ILLEGALS from coming in and the Mexican pres might have to confront this problem, instead of passing the buck to us.

It does look pretty funny to most Canadians.

Mexicans, though, might be snickering at how the US spends so much time complaining about illegal immigrants, while not really being willing to pay more for strawberries, clean toilets, etc. For a 'developed' country, the US keeps an alarming number of truly awful jobs at awful wages going strong.

The history of the US makes it funny, too.

And it's an awful lot of money to spend on something that's unlikely to do what it's supposed to.

Personally, I'm pulling for a wall along the northern border -- does anybody notice how little Americans care aboot Canadians who're there illegally? The ones I met while there (legally) had no problems at all, eh, and were generally liked by Americans.

I wouldn't call it an embarrassment but I do think it is ridiculous!
It seems as though the focus is mainly spent on keeping the Mexicans out but there are so many other illegal people here in the United states. A lot of people come here on temporary passes and then Never follow through with the guidelines by not returning to their home and staying "on the run" from this country

this is typical of the Mexican government. They never have any facts to back up their claims so they spew this ridiculous propaganda.

Every country has a right to secure its borders, and if we choose to build a fence, wall, moat, or whatever, it is none of their business.

Mexico is the biggest hypocrite anywhere on this matter, have you seen what THEY do to illegals crossing into Mexico from the south from Guatemala? They beat them, rob them, and send them packing.

If it were my choice, I spend the money on a 2000 foot minefield.

The best defense is a good offense. I think the Mexican Pres. is most upset with all the world press this fence is getting and the image it gives Mexico. Thus, he tried to turn the tables by attacking us and putting us down.

The president of Mexico is so greedy and corrupted that he feels no shame for keeping nearly half of his country in extreme poverty. The fact that our govt. has allowed our country to be invaded by illegal aliens and enables and supports them with our tax dollars makes us the laughing stock of the world. We don't need a fence to make us look stupid in the eyes of the world. Our president has already accomplished that for us.

It's all smoke and mirrors, so people will be mad at America rather than at Mexico.

Mexico's president should be damned well ashamed that his countrymen would rather live as outcasts in American society than stay in their own country.

Mexico IS an embarassment...the fence will help Mexico to take the 'quality time' that they need to confront their own problems..

You have a point but many of does people assume that here in the US they will have a better life, when in reality they will not have it any better then in Mexico because they are out of their element and daily routine.
