am just quite curious why is it lots of young people were engaged in sex rather than knowing more the person intimately and build a stronger foundation fro theri relationship? because i've noticed that in our today's genertion there are lots of broken marriages and the children suffered and some would even get traumatized.

I totally agree. Sex can be great but as you see the questions that regard sex with this site is unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I see questions that are focused more on how to do it and etc... I will not get into details since it is quite shocking to learn all these new things. There is no romance, to me a kiss is more important then the rest and holding hands and having a beautiful conversation is exciting to me. What is with these people. Don't they have other interests in life???????????????? I suggest to all these young people
to think about what marriage means and what it entails. It isn't all sex and fun. You need to grow together, have patience, respect and most of all truly love that person. I don't agree with young marriages. since times have changed and they all want to have fun. They think it is a game and if it doesn't work out you get a divorce. I hope for the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can send a big Thank you to MTV for starting the beggining of the end. TV in general as done allot to push sex, look at the TV shows, the OC, One tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, even ones we'd think innocuous like Survivor. Daytime soaps and these other shows do nothing to promote moral behavior but do provide people of all ages with fantasies that are unrealistic and devastating when attempted. None of these shows show actual relationships or what that's like to build a lasting friendship. These shows show back stabbing competitive behavior, it's a "survival of the fittest, prettiest and sluttiest" mindset. I'd suggest you not watch these shows, and get your friends along with you on those nights to do something fun like painting tonails or just talking over a cup of hot cocoa or donating your time at a retirement home chatting up old folks. Your awareness of the bad behavior is a kudos to you and a good sign that you won't allow yourself to be duped by peer pressure. Good luck!

I truely believe it has nothing to do with how you were raised...its because its all around you. College for example. Whats crazy is that if you arent having it, you actually get insecure in your relationship and feel as though something is wrong. I really wish it could be different because I agree with you on having to build a strong foundation. Unfortunately its just society changing.

B/c in our society there is no way to get away from sex and when someone is around something all of the time it makes it more intriguing, and being young they always tell you not to do it, which just makes you want to do it more.

sex is everywhere. It's practically thrown in their faces.....they're curious.....it sucks doesn't it? I'm 24 and when I was 15/16 I didn't think about it. Didn't even know much about it....until I was 18.

PARENTS ARE NOT RAISING THERE CHILDREN TO BE FUNCTIONAL HUMAN BEINGS IN THIS DYSFUNCTIONAL WORLD.
IF YOU THINK IT IS BAD NOW, WAIT ANOTHER DECADE AND SEE HOW ALL THESE KIDS WITH METH PARENTS TURN OUT.
