A friend went in for blood in her urine. No pain anywhere. Has had blood for a few months. Had an ultrasound done yesterday. She saw that on & around the right kidney, there is about 5 or so grouped large white markings. If you combined all the markings, they would be equal to half the kidney. They are kind of large. The lab tech saw, then came in & took more pictures on the right side.

The kidneys do show "white stuff" within the kidneys on ultrasound. Obviously, your friend should talk to her referring physician, BUT, in the meantime, she can do a yahoo image search and compare what she saw during her scan to those images.

I agree with the first answerer - let the doctor diagnose this - it will be most accurate.
