If you don't mind seeking the Young Adult section of the library or bookstore, then I recommend reading Angus Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging. It is the first in the Georgia Nicolson series of books. And poor Georgia, like Bridget, has quite a time of it!

Oh man the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich are hilarious! I laugh out loud when reading them.
Jennifer Weiner's books are great too -- In Her Shoes, Good In Bed, Little Earthquakes, Goodnight Nobody. Her characters really come as across as real women, not Hollywood types.
Have you read the follow-up to 'Diary' -- Bridget Jones -- Edge of Reason? It's good -- not as good as the first one tho'!

Well, don't tell anybody but...
There is this great novel by Cecelia Ahern called P.S. I Love You
It is a wonderful book for people going through a break-up or a death of a partner.
The story is about the heroine's loss of her husband, and what the steps to be taken to regain control over her life. It is very easy to read and is a page turner because the characters are all lovable.
