I think Kobe is better, because Kobe don't have no team to pass the ball to. Yeah Lebron is doing some awsome stuff, but Lebron is doing the same things that Kobe already done. Yeah the Lakers suck without Shaq, but it wasn't Shaq who was making the points, it was KOBE!!!!!!!!!!!. I mean come on now, do you really think that if Kobe had somebody to give the ball to that he would have scored 81 points by himself?

Lebron is beter because he makes everyone around him better. Oh, and if Lebron had Odom then Odom would be a lot better than he is with Kobe.

Well im looking at a question that can go both ways but If you are looking at the impact that this person brings to the game, Lebron James without a doubt. He is making people watch Basketball. Last year the playoffs were the best, Better then those years of seeing Kobe and Shaq beat up on folks. But you saw teams including the Cavs holding nothing back. James moves my heart and brings a open eye to the game. Now as career wise Kobe by far. What Kobe does year after year is amazing. Kobe is in my book the Man! Yeah Kobe! Better than A.I need a break. Better than Thin Ducan. Better that Kevin are u done yet. He is better than the best. He is the best. But look out Kobe the King is Coming.

Greatness isn't defined by how many points you score, or how many assists you have in one game. Greatness is and will always be defined by how were you able to make the stars around you better and still play your game at a high level. Kobe is an awesome player without a doubt, but you have to be able to make those around you awesome to. Kobe scored 81 points because he was being fed the ball, his teammates even said he had the hot hand and they were off so why not give it to him. And Unless you haven't heard, The last year Kobe and Shaq played together, in the finals Coach Jackson in the huddle said it himself, let kobe shoot. No trust in your team at all and kobe shot and kobe shot and kobe shot and all that got them was ousted by the Pistons.

Lebron has a long way to go before he wil be considered great but i do believe when his career is said and done his numbers ( all around numbers will be far better than Kobe) For a person on pace to average a triple double for his career stats means that he gets everyone around him involved and yet still has time to shine and showcase his own skill. Lebron is the better player for the simple fact his all round game is better, and it shows by his teammates numbers and Clevelands overall record during the regular season and playoffs. Kobe was exploited the moment Shaq left that team, and you have to admit that he wanted the team he wanted to be a star and yet since the departure his team has been sub-par and the only thing he has since to his acclaim is 81 points.

Lebron is all around the better player.

By far it is Lebron - yes Kobe is a great individual player, but he does nothing to make his teammates better. True the Lakers don't have a great team, but he does have Odem and some good role players. He is a very selfish player and will never be as successful as MJ or even Shaq.
Lebron gets is points, but he creates a lot of things for his teammates. Can you name 2 other players on Cleveland? It isn't that Lebron has a great team either.

Better at what? Unfortunatley Kobe is the better player. But off te court, Lebron is a far better person and role model than Kobe. We all know whats been going on with Kobe the last few years. You would think it would be the other way around, with Lebron being younger and Kobe older and supposedly wiser, but thats not the case. I'll take Lebron over Kobe anyday.

Lebron WHO? This is not even a valid question. What has Lebron done.....NOTHING. What has Kobe done......a whole lot and it just keeps on going. Until Lebron makes history or even be man enough to join and win the Slam Dunk Contest....he should not even be in a conversation or question with Kobe.

People are saying that Lebron will just get better by the years. How about Kobe? Isn't he getting better and better? I read all the answers for this question and most of the answers are from KOBE HATERS and are just basing their answers from off-court incidents. Its not right.

Right now for me, Lebron is an average player in the league....yes he is the best in Cleveland but just still average in the league. Dwayne Wade has got way better credentials than him so please no disrespect to the person who asked this question but Lebron is not in Kobe's level.

Sure it was Kobe making the points, via Shaq's assist! undoubtedly, Kobe is a great athlete and although I can't say much about of his personality because i haven't met him, i assume he's a cool guy as well. Lebron on the other hand is crazy! dude is young, powerful and most of all charismatic! he knows how to entertain us not only with his skills (like Kobe) but also with his personality which is something Kobe seems to be quiet about. so with that said, I'll go with Lebron!

Kobe is better presently but in the next 2 or so years Lebron will without a doubt be the better player.

Last year- Kobe
Lebron will be a better player than Kobe was or is or will ever be. Lebron just needs more killer instinct. Kobe has it and that is what helps him stand out from many other players. Too bad Kobe will never win another ring. I beleive Lebron will win a few.
