Keep Andre Johnson. Although I am a Bears fan, Rex Grossman would not be a good add right now for a number of reasons.
1. Lovie Smith has said he is going to get Benson and the running game more involved.
2. Andre Johnson is one of the best receivers right now.
3. Grossman would only be good for two weeks. (San Franciso and Miami).
4. They still have to play at New York Jets, at New York Giants, and at New England.
Grossman would be a good add for the next two weeks, but would not be worth giving up Andre Johnson.

No, you need Johnson with the other WR you have. Grossman is good, but excepting the trade now will not help you this week, the trade will not go through for this weeks roster. I would keep Johnson unless I was offered a better QB. And then by the time that rolls around, Hasselbeck will be back. He is only out 3 weeks. Rivers is a good QB who will have better than average numbers. Grossman could not get it going against Arizona, and yet the Raiders did. He is still a rookie, even though not technically. He makes mistakes often. He has a had a few very good games, and that has padded his stats big time.

I believe that Andre Johnson is leading the league in receiving. I personally would hold onto him since you have Rivers and Hasselbeck. Rivers is becoming a very strong play since they have really started letting him pass over the past few weeks, and I don't think Grossman is an upgrade over him (or MH when he returns from injury)
On the other hand, Grossman's schedule is ridiculously easy the rest of the year. It's easy to think that his season this far has been a fluke or that their schedule has to get harder, but in reality the Bears play 90% pathetic defenses. I dont think that trading for him would be a bad thing, but I dont think he is worth Johnson.

Try and make a counter offer and pick up something else. If Hasselbeck wasn't injured the choice would be easy and you would make the trade. His injury makes the trade risky though because you would be left with only one QB. On the plus side, Rivers has been hot and he's a good start week in and week out.

it really all depends on how many wr slots you have in your league.. is it two? three? or even four? you have 3 other decent wr's.. but if one gets hurt.. make sure you can find a decent backup on waivers.. andre johnson is a good receiver and i'd hate to give him up
another thing is how valuable is a qb points wise in your league? it's always good to have a good backup quarterback in case rivers gets hurt.. even though their bye week already passed.. 4 weeks is a good amount of time and who knows when hasselback will be healthy again?
in a similar situation as you.. i'm startin' philip rivers because i have no choice.. jp losman is my backup.. and i started with daunte and aaron brooks in the beginning of the season (horrible i know)
i like philip rivers though.. i'm going to ride and die with the new guy and see what happens.. i think you should do the same

Don't do it; River can carry you with those receivers.
