She is not your friend if she is constantly lying to you. End of story. Find a real friend, someone you can trust.

AHA, I'm good at this one because I attract the crazies. There was this girl who quickly became my friend and things were good at first but after awhile she started lying to me. Like "I want you to come for dinner, I'll call you back in a second" and no call or "i'll meet you at the park at 1" and she wouldn't show up (we had kids that were going to play together) So anyway, I figured out that she's a little crazy and stopped calling her altogether and I wasn't rude when I'd run into her, but I didn't go out of my way to have a chatty conversation KWIM? So after awhile it just ended, no harm no foul and that's that.

My question for you is, what does she lie about? Does she tell you white lies so as not to hurt your feelings? Or does she blatantly lie about everything? I have a girlfriend who lies about every single thing (where she got her hair done, who she's dating) but I always know sh'es lying. I just laugh it off cause she's nuts and I love her. But if this friend of yours is lying about majorly important things, you need to decide whether she is worth keeping in your life or not.

I had a couple like that we were friends with. They were chronic liars. Why hang out and be friends with someone who does that? I missed the friends, but not the lies!!!! No, there r better people out there!!!!

from personal exp. on this, you can only take that so long. i had a friend for 13 years that did the same. i couldn't do it anymore when my husband and i seperated and she made a move on him. she's tried since then to be friends w/o even saying sorry, but in my book lieing is lieing and somethings are unforgivable.

Do you love her? If you do and she is not, yes, she just want to protect you. But, even so, tell her that you understand that and agree to be friends and nothing else.
If you care about her but not exactly love, than also her let her Know.
If didn't work than, break up- But first clear things right.

It sounds like you already have all the answers. If she's not telling the truth, dump her.

Nope - get rid of her! Friend is a title that must be earned and she doesn't deserve it.
