You have to see the first 2 movies to understand the 3rd one. I mean you could go watch it if you want, but if you really want to get the full effect, then you need to watch the 1st 2 movies.

Here is the thing:
If Saw3 from Saw2 is like Saw2 from Saw1, you will leave the movie thinking "damn, that movie is crazy, I liked it!" The movie can stand on its own since it has its own story...but there still are alot of connections. BUT! You lose alot of value and you cant get the whole picture without watching the old ones. I left the theaters going "HOLY *!!##!* *!@##*" cause I saw Saw1 when I saw Saw2.
If you want the whole experience, I would strongly tell you to watch the other Saws before you go see this one. It takes the experince to another level. I'll warn you now, if you decide to watch the movies backwards, it wont do any justice. If you have time, you really should jam in the other 2 before going to see 3.
Other then that! ENJOY! I am super pumped for tonight! I bet "There will be blood!"

It would be advisable to see the first two first but it's your choice. I can handle blood and guts but when the guy sticks his hand in the toilet, that's just nasty.

The first two were bad and since generally sequels get progressively worse....
