I just got a make-up kit with black out wax you put on your teeth. Any horror kit will have that.
Don't use a marker. First of all, it's poison. Second, the ink won't stay on your teeth because they're wet constantly. Third, imagine the taste. Yuck.

I would definitely not use a sharpie. Look for that black wax in the halloween section. You could also try black lipstick!

Sharpie? Are you insane?

Go to any good costume or magic shop. You can buy little bottles of tooth black. It's safe and effective and the stuff is not expensive at all. This time of year (Halloween) the shops should have plenty of it in stock.
