drifting has to be the DUMBEST form of (well I dont think it even deserves to be called racing) but i just dont understand how people can compare this garbage to REAL series like F1, Champ Car, etc. NOT IRL though!!! (IRL is totally bogus also).

to the guy who said drift cars use parachutes: are you retarded? DRAG RACE CARS USE PARACHUTES... not rice burners that can barely crack the 80 mph barrier. Don't comment on something you obviously dont know about. Finally, drifting is stupid, so it figures the people who actually like it have nothing but stupid things to say because they dont know anything about racing.

drifting is not fun to do while racing, it slows you down tremendously. Thats why i think it is a total waste of time.

Just a bunch of people who have way too much Horsepower under the hood and an endless supply of tires with nothing better to do. If want to see REAL DRIFTING, go to your local Dirt Track and watch REAL race cars compete. Afterall they're the real 'drifting experts'.

Drifting is not dumbest dude they play a major role in WRC and other rally. The concept of drifting came form Rally racing. This was developed in street racing and it became popular. Drifting cannot be done in any Grand Prix races and it is not a sort of racing it is a part of it.

i personnally dont like "drifting" either.but they dont just use rice burners to do this.there are alot of dodge vipers and mustangs that are used to drift also.
i would rather watch lawnmower racing on speed channel than drift competitions.
and by the way why call it racing?dont the drivers get points for style,not for crossing a finish line first?i dont know.

LOL dont you think that going from 0 to 100+ mph is great then you have no need for speed dude. this the the MOST dangerous way of travelling....oh and i will tell you something what car deploys a parachute to stop???....not the F1 or other cars only drift racing cars cause they are going so FAST that they use a parachute to stop. I dont think its boring cause they are like the coolest cars in the world !!!!

I don't drifting by itself is racing by any means. However it does take take skill and is pretty fun to do. Especially when really racing. In road racing the they use the term four wheel drift to explain when the car has gone through the corner perfectly. It doesn't slow the car down one bit.
