How do you ask? I am surprised that you haven't already! You say he dumped you - how did he do it? Surely he gave some sort of reason? If you are in a relationship and your partner chooses to end it, the least they can do is give you the courtesy of an explanation - you are entitled to it! Don't obsess over 'how' to ask, simply ask and know when you are asking that you are entitled to a response. If this approach is unsuccessful, take comfort in the fact that while you may be unclear as to why the relationship ended, at least you can confirm in your own mind that he's not such a great person, adn that should go some way in giving you a level of closure. Good luck - and please don't wait around too long for him to give you closure and 'permission' to move on, set your own rules!

An ex is an ex when the relationship is ended. Whether or not you have closure is not a matter of when an ex is an ex. If you want closure, just ask him why you guys broke up.

You can ask...it doesn't mean you will get the closure that you might be looking for. Keep in mind if he has moved on so should you. Closure to everyone is just a state of mind. It depends on how much your willing to think about something that you may have had no control over.
Good luck

An ex is someone that you have to decide to let go of. If he is not as serious about you as you are about him then you should take time to process this and let him go. He will not chnage for you just because you want him to. The hardest thing that people have to learn is when to let go. I think an ex is an ex when the two people involved have let go of any possibilities of reconcilliation. Is he giving mixed signals? He may be undecided but your heart is worth protecting so don't let him play games with it...best wishes

an ex is someone who we hurt or who hurt us,and why would u want to know according to him, why? sometimes there are no answars to why, only their explanations.his explanation might not be what you want or need to hear, especially if your still trying to get over it.best not to even go there.
