Iran and NK would actually fight back so don't bet your sweet azz on him starting a war with either..
NK would kill more of our soldiers than the entire Iraq occupation in a single month..

Since he is the Commander in Chief of the armed forces he can declair war without going to Congress. Since nobody including the Brits would go for this he would be on his own and facing a rather angry Congress even with a Republican Majority. The actions in Iraq have been so stupid that Iran would be a complete disaster and might start a regional war. Don't worry none of this is going to happen.

bush could not start a war now with ANYONE, never mind if democrats win the mid-term election. the amercian people do NOT believe a word bush says (too bad so many did not come to this realization 2 terms ago when they originally voted him in) bush has lost any political clout he did have a year ago due to his lack of leadership abilities....and his clearly UNFOCUSED iraq policy. he has led us right into another vietnam, with no way out....except....humiliation of the US before the world.

Democrats are fierce fighters, and normally have the plan to win a war before starting it. Bush has very little political capital because he has been wrong so much.
China should worry about North Korea, along with South Korea and Japan.

Boy do you need a civics lesson.
CONGRESS declares war - not the President. Just as CONGRESS authorized the war in Iraq (oh.. no I voted for it before I voted against it...).
I honestly believe (fear) that a war with North Korea is inevitable, just as it is with Iran, regardless of who is in the White House. These are two rouge terrorist nations ruled by evil, oppressive, murderous dictators, bent on destroying America, Americans, and the freedoms we are priviledged to have. There will come a day in the very near future when America will have to make a choice to defend our country, our citizens and our allies from aggression and destruction.
Which side will you stand on? (I guess that will depend - for liberals - on who is in the White House)

I think he will struggle. Problem is the US now has a shortage of allies who can support them. Even we Brits are starting to feel the strain (an army of 100,000), with commitments all around the world, and fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I have a lot of time for America but I think they will be on their own....the other NATO countries won't even provide a couple of thousand troops to help out in Afghanistan

Democrats have already surrendered to North Korea.
Democrats have surrendered to Iran.
Democrats have surrendered in Iraq.
Democrats have surrendered to the Terrorists.
If the Democrats take over Congress, the US will become a helpless country.

The executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war.
