I used to be regular as clockwork, from the first time on. It happened exactly on my 13th birthday. I know that a lot of girls start having their periods sooner, then in my time, most girls didn't get it until they were 17 or 18. We grow up faster, I think, that our emotional balance is important, and has an effect on our fertillity cycle. In fact stress can work either way... In some women it will stop their periods completely, while others don't stop bleeding in between. It's also possible, that you have a relative short cycle. Some women have a cycle of around 21 days..... Mine used to be like that, until I started on the birth control pil...Also about 18 I guess. I was only too happy to stop taking it, when I got to know my body better... I remember I could always feel my fertile period coming on, on either side. I really do want you to have a good look at yourself and how you are feeling. Do you also have more cramps for instance? When you have your period, does it stay longer? Do you have P(re) M(enstrual) S(yndrom)?? Or do you worry a lot... Al these things can have unsettling effects on a person.
Perhaps when it happens more often, you should see a gyneacologist, he might be able to regulate your menstruation cycle with oestrogen (female hormones).
I do not know how old you are, and if you already thought about having children.... It would be a shame when you are young, to ignore a complaint like this, because when I remember correctly, it could also be a sign of something more serious like an infection. Some
V(enereal) D(eseases)'s, will cause complaints like this, and when medical treatment is delayed, it might cause infertillity.... But that's just about the worst case scenario one can have...
Do not think the worst, but take care of yourself, and it's very good, that you thought to ask...

There is an average of 28 days in a cycle. That means some peoples' cycles are longer and some shorter. If there are 31 days in the month and you have a 28 day cycle- chances are you could have 2 in one month. It's ok.

not every woman is on a 28 daycycle. Every one is different so I would say its fine. If you experience bleeding for weeks at a time or if your 2 times a month cycle is new for you, go to the doctor for some birth control pills to regulate your cycle

There are some women that actually do that on a regular basis. Nothing wrong with them. That is just normal for them. If it really concerns you, see a doctor, but it probably is nothing to worry about.
