I dunno how to explain this problem.
But right now, if i click to the Brush or dodge or burn, all i see is the cross hair. what happened to the good old circle.. i cant work without it :p
i kno it seems like a tiny problem, but i cant solve it !

Your 'shift lock' button is active, click it again to deactivate it, then you will see the good old circle...

u may making something b4 using brush ..so select the object u want to brush on it first
i give u an example , if u were typing a text then u want to brush u will have this icon and if u press it will ask u to flatten then text
and there another thing check image mode cause brushes work with GRB only i think and may be gray scale

You just need to enlarge you brush size.

i would do a roll back on your computer as that sounds like a cross file!
