Computer or wiring prblems... take it back to the dealer or person you bought it from and see if they'll do anything for you in regards to fixing it. If not... mention "lemon law" or "lawyer" and see if that helps! Small claims court is cheap and lawyer free!

Ford always had the worst electrical problems BUT I'm finding Dodge and Chrysler to have long surpassed them, my niece bought a Neon also .. This car has been nothing but problems from Blowing fuses in the Headlights, Most cars have breakers for the headlights..not to mention each headlight is a separate circuit... the speedometer don't work.. a wiring problem..so nothing would surprise me about a Neon.. you have a short in the wiring harness.. Chrysler Corp. should be made to take care of these problems.. but when they take it in they get charged a ridiculous amount and it still isn't fixed... My advise to you is get rid of it and Get a good GM car... Sorry I couldn't give you any better advice...I have been told by many wise older Mechanics,"No mater how good a Chrysler product looks ,JUST TURN YOUR HEAD AND WALK AWAY" The sooner in life you learn this the better off you'll be..

i own a repair shop, and i have seen them do this before, you need to take it in to a shop, and have it repaired,it has a crossed wire on it,and it needs to be repaired by a shop because they will know what to do for it,this happens a lot with the neon's,but once its repaired it wont give no more problems, good luck, and get it it repaired as soon as possible,,.good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

Your computer has a 'glitch' in it....hopefully your still under warranty...if not...I'd just ignore it as it will be costly to fix.
