couldn't someone be drawn into insanity? if you do something long enough it can become a habit.

i highly doubt it. if you weren't really insane and you were pretending to be insane you wouldn't become insane from pretending to be insane but would rather just be making an @$$ out of yourself...
because you know your just faking it. how would that make you insane? i can pretend to act stupid but not really become stupid.

Sure, if you choose to label the world in terms of Sane and Insane. But I guess if you've already made such a black and white distinction, you would be a perfect candidate for re-enforcing an idea so much that you begin to embrace it. One definition of insanity is repeating something over and over and expecting different results, but being proven otherwise. I guess if you pretended you were a chicken for long enough, you may very well start acting like a chicken permanently.

No...because as long as they are ->pretending<- they know the difference. It takes sanity to pretend to be insane. You have to know what is real and what is psychotic, what will work and won't work in the charade.
