It seems people have forgotten what Halloween actually means. I had to write a report on the origins of it recently, and was amazed at how many times it has been altered.

It's about both. For Samhain, I'll leave offerings for my ancestors and honor the dead. For Halloween, I'll give out candy and dress up. It's a day of celebration, death isn't something to mourn.

we actually do that on Nov 1st on all saints day. We bring flowers to everyones grave.
