I've gotta say - if I'm asked to do something I ordinarily wouldnt have a problem doing, it becomes more of a hassle and a chore to do.

For instance if my mom had to tell me to clean my room I'd hate doing it, whereas I probably would have had fun making a go of it when I was in the mood!

I prefer to take the initiative - you get to choose how and when!

More often than not, I take the initiative. Unless it is something I am clueless about, like handy work. I couldn't use a power tool if my life depended on it.

Take the initiative.

Why stand around and be told what to do? Take charge and get it done. If you don't now how, ask. Things will get done faster.
