Your wife is going through hormonal changes after having the baby. This can cause a different odor and even taste. Depending on the person these changes can continue to occur for a couple of weeks if not months. You might want to make a doctor's appointment and see if he may have other information.
I went through the same thing after my baby was born. It didn't seem to bother my husband but it did me TERRIBLY.
For me I just took a shower and made sure that I Felt clean before we had fun.
Maybe if your planning on a little oral sex you and your wife could take a shower together and clean up a little. It will heighten things a bit more and make your time together that much longer.
Just a suggestion.

It may take a while for her body to get back to normal after giving birth (I'm assuming it was a vaginal birth, not a C-section).

Is it a smell that is obvious when not giving oral? Then a call to the doctor may be in order, she may have an infection.

Congrats on the new addition too!

I have four children so i do know what your talking about .that smell is from having her period for so long after the baby its the body's way of cleaning it self out it last a couple of weeks remember the poor woman had no period for 9 months .give it two weeks it should go away ,if not go to her Dr. make sure everything is OK ,they also sell this intimate soap by summers eve its not a water cleanser for internal use its an actual soap that's made for woman's intimate parts and they come in all kinds of great fragrances or if shes allergic to fragrances theres one that's just for sensitive skin so go check it out it just might work .good luck and careful not to get to freaky and make another baby so soon ........................good luck once again and congrats on the new baby

Strawberry douche. The smell stems from the fact that she is not washing well. Go to the douche. That should clear up any unpleasantness. Have you checked for yeast infection? Could be the other cause. If situation persists, see a gynecologist

You should not stick anything in there right now, because she could get an infection. The smell is probably her body's way of healing. Different women have different issues after giving birth. You should just maybe wait until it is time. That is safer for you and her. Congrats on the new edition to your family!!!

Hi there. It might be worth going to the drs again or even the child health nurse as there may be some kind of internal infection. They may even be able to give you some advice on how to fix it and at least you know its all confidential! Good luck

It sounds to me like she just needs to get something to freshen herself up down there. I am a mother of 3 and I have not had that problem. It could also just be the changes her body has went through due to having a baby. I would just sit down and explain to her what you are dealing with and see if the 2 of you can come up with a solution.

It actually sounds pretty typical to me. If she delivered vaginally, I'm assuming, the amount of blood that comes out and the hormones, along with everything else......I'm imaging it's not THAT different. If it's a drastic change, then I'd advise to see her OB. Does she notice it too?

There should never be a smell.Do not have her douche either it messes up the flora, have her go to the Dr.they can tell from an exam if there is an infection.

Sounds like she may have an infection. Call the doctor and get a prescription of antibiotics. That should fix her right up.
