I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh as a general rule, but it cannot be denied that the man has a large following otherwise he would not have the highest rated radio show in the country. I have an open question regarding liberal indictment of all Republicans based on the man's statements. Frankly, I have come to the conclusion that yes liberals are listening and that they fear this man. He obviously has great power to influence political debate in this country. This stands in stark contrast to decades of liberal monopoly of media in this country. However, it is not just Limbaugh, but rather all media entities with a conservative stance (Hannity, O'Reilly, Fox News, etc). If it is remotely conservative it is under constant attack. It amuses me to no end that people who claim such devotion to freedom of speech would censor all of these entities in a minute if they had the power. I am an independent, although definitely conservative in thinking. To me I would hope that all people would examine every source available and make decisions based on the facts, but this is not the society we live in. Our society is overrun with the fast food give it to me in 30 seconds mentality. Does this adversely effect us a whole? The answer is no, it is just how we choose to live and in the end that is what most of us are doing. Living our lives the best way that we can.

Rush Limbaugh is entertainment. That is why he is so successful. Unlike Air America, which failed because it wasn't funny, was shrill, and lacked any sense, Rush is very tongue in cheek, and most of his comments tend to be liberal baiting at best.
Rush and Hannity would probably prefer to have a Democratic liberal Congress and President. After all, it would give them a lot more topics to rail about.
Oh, and I seriously doubt Rush is getting up at 5:00 AM to plot against liberals. Any idea how large his research staff is?

there are purely some issues i might privatize. The social protection gadget ought to be fazed into private debts over years with the intention to no longer injury those already on it. the federal government has mis dealt with this badly for years and now the gadget is broke. The placed up workplace using fact government pink tape fees lots money that they might't stay below budget. the dep. of training ought to be elated using reproduction artwork. All states have their very own branch of training and that they already make almost all the policies for their college structures. the dep. of ability needs to flow using fact no person is attentive to what the hell they actually do. i'm unsure on the dep.. of Agriculture. i think of small farms nonetheless want them to stay to tell the story. In Louisiana a super form of the rubbish is already private and it works super. I pay much less out of my pocket than what it would value me if I lived interior the city and that they paid it. The bill merely comes from the city rather of the rubbish guy. you be attentive to the city has to get their decrease. The Police, hearth, militia, etc. might desire to stay below the government. i does no longer believe a private corporation with those. i'm a Libertarian - properly no longer precisely yet they're the closest component to my ideals.

Rush is an entertainer. He is not a figure head for the Republican party. His job is to make money. Being controversial does just that. He does have some good points and thoughts, but it would be naive to say that everything he says is right.

I used to listen to him - I do get tired of the constant rant. I get tired of conservatives saying liberals are ALWAYS wrong and vice versa. Thats not the case.
I still think we need to have a mixture of red & blue states & call it the purple party. We believe some of the conservative things & some of the liberal things.

Republicans have Rush, Liberals have Michael Moore, both tell their version of the truth and both can make both groups cringe wishing they had kept their mouth shut. That's the burden the U.S. bears with the freedom of free speech.

Die hard Republican Conservative here who started sending Rush Limbaugh mail challenging him to a fence climbing contest back in the day when he spent all of his time downing women who wanted to be police officers...
Who cares about Rush Limbaugh? Don't watch him if you don't want to, no one has a gun to your head!

No, I don't listen to him.
But that doesn't necessarily make him wrong.
Even Rush admits that he is an ENTERTAINER, not a politician. And at least most of the time he makes more sense than some of the lunatic left fringe that has taken over the Democratic party.

OK... fair answer... Rush does get carried away at times. He's a shock-jock of politics. There is a lot of truth to his points, however.
Now, in all fairness, are you prepared to equally criticize those that make outrageous lies and accusations against Bush like "war for oil", "lied about WMD's", "is the anti-Christ", "worse dictator the US has ever had"?
There's a lot of hatred on both sides of the coin. Speak out against it all or become irrelevant!

He also takes a few hours a day to take his illegally obtained prescription drugs, don't forget that! Rush Limbaugh is the biggest hypocrite in the conservative movement, except maybe Ann coulter, or Bill O'Rielly or Ken Mehlman or ... (you get the picture).
