I think mostly everyone has confirmed what you should already be thinking...get your wife to Labor & Delivery NOW!! It sounds like your child has had their first bowel movement - it is called meconium - this can be VERY dangerous if your child breathes it in and it may cause permanant lung damage.
Mostly when this happens the DRS decide to have an emergency C-Section because of the timing. The longer your little one is in there the more risk it has of harming their lungs. Most of the time they will not allow your wife to have natural child birth because that can take hours. My water broke on Friday at 2 pm and I did not give birth until Saturday at 529 pm.
Once again, take everyones advice and get her to the Dr now. Good luck and congrats on the new baby!!
---also, you were asking about the fluid like pee...thats the amneotic fluid that surrounds the baby. It should be clear unless there is a problem. Red = blood. Green = meconium. Yellow = pee. : )

an boost in discharge is consumer-friendly for the time of being pregnant. Lie down for a 0.5 hour or so with a sparkling pad on. once you arise notice the quantity of flluid on the pad. Amniotic fluid has an fairly distinctive scent, like bleach or Comet. If there is below a teaspoon finished or 2 and there is not any scent you're maximum probable merely having a typical discharge. day after today call the well-being care expert and ask in the event that they have try strips for checking fluid leakage.

The fluid is supposed to be clear, any color to it and you need to consult your doctor as soon as possible. I had a miscarriage at 16 weeks in Jan. and when my water broke it was green tinted, I had a severe infection that not only cost me my son but nearly my own life as well. It's not something to mess with, call your doctor now! Good luck....

I'm not sure what color green it is, but if it is green, that is usually the sign of meconium in the water (meconium is basically the baby's poop, so obviously not good)

When did this happen? If it was recently, get her to the doctor now! She needs to be checked out to be sure the baby isn't 'breathing' in poopy water as this can make him/her ill.

Any color of green means the baby decided to poop right before the fluid started leaking (in my case, my water broke). This could be bad because the baby can swollow it and lead to complications. She should call her doctor.

amniotic fluid should be clear. Any discoloration could be a sign of meconium, and should be taken seriously. If she thinks she is leaking fluid, she needs to be talking to her OB anyway. Be sure she tells him the color of the fluid.

It's called meconium, it means the baby had a bowel movement in the amniotic fluid. This can cause respiratory problems, so they will suction the baby after its born.

Amniotic fluid should be clearish.

Sounds like the baby pooped a little in there.

Any Green! Amnotic fluid is clear unless blood tinged any green = infection!!! Take her to the Hospital , Labor & Delivery floor, NOW! If you don't you may lose your baby & your wife.

If you think she is leaking amniotic fluid, you need to call your caregiver.
