ok i went to doc apt yesterday. she suggested i got get a stress test cuz of some contractions and some pain in tummy i have been having. so i go down there and have to get a shot to stop my contractions. eventually they came back and they sent me home and told me to take it easy and all anyways all night i have been very itchy my neck, chest ankles hands, legs back everywhere! should i be worried?

its because you are pregnant. they would not have sent you home if anything was wrong.
My wife when pregnant could not wear clothes as they irritated her and she broke out in welts!
So for almost the full term she was indoors and had a moon tan!
If you dont feel right dont take anyones advise and go to the doctor. The safety of both you and your baby are more important to some of the weird people who are about to give you stupid answers!

I don't think you should be worried. Sometimes women develop certain skin conditions during pregnancy that cause them to be itchy. It could also just be a reaction the medication that you were given, also very common. Either way, you have no cause for concern. But by all means, call your dr if you are worried. That is what they are there for!

I had that and the doctor wouldn't take it seriously. She said it was dry skin. It totally was NOT dry skin!! It was really miserable for liek 2 weeks. I used "Sarna" cream which smelled funky but worked OK - better than anything else. I don't know what caused it and I don't know what made it go away, but the doc wasn' concerned about it, and my baby is perfect, so it must have not been serious!

You are prob having a reaction to the shot. When i had my son i had a c-section and they gave me morphine. I started itching like crazy, like from the inside. They had to take me off of it and give me some benadryl. I have never itched so bad in my life!!! Call you doc and tell them!!!

it could be due to the shot you had but there is a condition in pregnancy that makes you itch and can be dangerous it is when your liver produces too many enzymes call our doctor and get a blood tests good luck

yes see doctor right away you coulb be taking an allergic reaction.or you could have that swelling thing starting.Sorry I forgot what it was called go to the docs again asap.

Go to your Doctor. it sounds like an allergic reaction to the medication. Your doctor will be able to decide what to do from there.

hormaonal changes. just ask doc to give u a lotion to apply on skin.
