Mr. Clean Magic Eraser I love them....they clean everything from crayon, to scuffs, soap scum...and they don't leave the smell, or the oily residue that WD-40 leaves. Hope this helps

Try using Bar Keepers Friend. It's not as abrasive as some cleaners. Wet a rag and put just a little on it and rub into the scuff mark. Also, it may sound strange, but lighter fluid might work too.

ok...this is going to seem a little bit wierd but try a tennis ball on them. just abrasive enough to rubout the scuff and the filament on the ball will capture and trap any dirt or residue.
Oh and by the way magic eraser is a great answer too. best invention since the light bulb in my book.

The Mr. Clean magic erasers work well on scuff marks. That should work. You can usually find them, in the cleaning product isle of the grocery store. If not Go to a home depot, they have them, there. Good luck!

If you own a pair of rubber sole tennis/athletic shoes, use them like an eraser (or just use an eraser). You get a bigger area with shoes and you don't need to bend. I walk through stores and rub the scuff marks with my tennis shoes (really embarrasses my kid) and POOF, they are gone.

Try something oily---like baby oil. Rub in the opposite direction or the mark, if it's vertical rub horizontal. Try soap and water and rubbing alcohol.
