I have alot of acne scars and stains on my face. They're not like separate spots, they're like in huge patches. My skin is also very oily with some dry spots and EXTREMELY sensitive. (Yeah, bad skin!)

Thanks alot everyone, but I've already gone to the dermatologist and taken Roaccutane and everything for like an year. So I don't have acne, I have the ugly leftover pigmentation. I don't even have any real pitted scars or anything. Just pigmentation and the usual few blemishes.

Girl, I feel your pain, I have some acne scars and my face is oily also. But you can cover them. Revlon Color-Stay Soft Flex Foundation which is oil-free is good. They give great coverage and gives a matte finish after it's applied. I would suggest purchasing a concealer that's lighter than the foundation and applying it just to your spots only ( rub some of the concealer on the back of your hand to warm and dab what you have on your hand to your spots for it to go on easier). M.A.C. Studio Fix Foundations are great, sort of pricey but worth it. Iman's Second to None Oil-Free Foundation is for everybody and gives off great coverage and low priced. L'Oreal's HIP Foundation colors are oil-free and give off good coverage. All the makeup that I've mentioned are available at Wal-Mart or if you go online you order them from Walgreens or Rite-Aid (except M.A.C, you may have to go to your local mall to purchase that). One thing that is not good for oily skin is cream to powder foundations. The reason for that is because all creams contain oil and you're just adding more oil to your face and your skin will look oiler. You'll be blotting all day. The foundations most fit for oily skin are liquid, oil-free foundations. Unfortunately, they don't give a better coverage than stick or cream foundations, but you don't have that shine an hour after you put it on either. And keep with you some oil-blotting paper to use through out the day and some pressed powder to touch up after you blot so your makeup can stay looking fresh and matte looking. Hope this helps and good luck!!!!

Try Bare Minerals or www.mineralbasics.com The makeup is actually good for your skin. You need to treat your skin and not cover it up with oily or pore clogging products. And honestly, the more you pile on thick foundation over acne, the worse it looks.
Try L'oreal's Acne Response System or the Intensive Acne Peel, which is specifically for improving skin scarred by acne. Work on making the skin healthy. Thick liquid foundations will get into the scars and most likely just cause your more problems. I have deeper acne scars and have been using Bare Minerals and the Loreal products for the last few months and everyone has been noticing how good it is starting to look!

Use Philosophy "The Present Clear Makeup." It was developed for use by people who'd just had facial abrasions and the like and had really sensitive skin. Not only will it help to smooth out your complexion a little, but it serves as a good base for colored foundation because it will help protect your face from makeup and you won't need to use as much foundation because it won't absorb into your skin. Note though, it's best to use clear makeup in small amounts--if you slather it on, it can look weird and be sort of uncomfortable.

Alsoon, Bare Minerals powerder foundation is gentle on the skin.

I bought revlon - oil free liquid makeup the other day, and I have to say im happy. Buy a good concealer, lighter than the foundation. Put a moisturizer on first and let it dry - then concealer, foundation. Wait til it drys. And apply again. Not very heavy just to even it out and wipe off any excess.

My friend uses covergirl and she has a flawless makeup look, like the pressed wet dry foundation. I cant use it though.

Try Clinique products. They are hypo-alergenic and the sales cleark will provide you with a free lesson on how to apply. There is both liquid foundation and powder foundation. I prefer the powder foundation as it tends to cover more evenly. Also, they have cover sticks that you can apply in certain areas to balance the skin colour. And, they also have products for several different types of skin tones...dry, oily etc.

Mine doesn't sound as challenging as yours, but I have the same problem. Dermablend is good stuff- they make 2 different formulas- one is less heavy than the other- you can buy it at www.dermablend.com or buy it at a department store that sells it- the site has a store locator.
I haven't found much over-the-counter stuff to cover my major problem areas. Clinique has a maximum coverage foundation that works well, too. It lasts all day, and I never even needed concealer with it, and it never broke me out or contributed to my oiliness.

I don´t like to give brands, but in this case I will. The best foundation to cover is any that comes in a stick, many brands have it. But outside the stick the best ever is Estee Lauder´s. This is very expensive, but so worth it, specially for sensitive skin.
