I have had 2 prior babies and this is so odd to me but when I mention it tot he doctors I am not given a direct answer it is as if I didnt ask. I am concerned and wondering if this could mean anything The movement I do feel is STRICTLY in my lower abdomen and as I said I am now 28 weeks and this is exactly the way I have always felt the movement thus far. Is this normal? Does this imply soemthing is wrong witht the baby? I had an amnio all normal. Had several normal to date tests all normal. Have had ultrasounds all normal. Can someone please help me with this? Should I be so concerned? I will be 40yrs old in March, I weigh 252lbs but have only gained 1lb since onset baby is growing and gaining weight actually a week ahead in ultrasounds. Is my weight a reason for limited area felt movements? Trust me I am sure you can all see how anxious this is making me. Thanks to all in advance :).

I am also 28 weeks. First pregnancy. And my movements have always been very low. Like under my pubic bone low...I just had another ultrasound done and she is head down already...my doctor told me to lay on my left side and kindof lean forward a little...so I would cramp her a little on my left side...and I started to feel her move then. I suspect it is because of your weight. I am only bringing it up because you did...and I was pretty small before getting pregnant...but it may be hard to feel the movements if there is extra tissue there...maybe. But my doctor said it is nothing to be worried about...as long as he/she is moving regularly, it is fine. But you know how they all say not to lay on your stomach when you are sleeping? YOu kinda want to compromise that by laying on your side and just leaning foward a little...I don't want the "cramp the baby" thing to sound the wrong way or like bad advice. Just kinda squish him/her a little so he/she will push back against that side to make more room. Maybe he/she just has so much room that they don't need to stretch like some other babies do. I am rambling on. My point was, my doctor said it was perfectly normal and nothing to be worried about. Even if he/she is breech, according to my books, there is still plenty of time for it to switch on its own still and not something to be worried about yet. Good luck!! Maybe we'll have babies on the same day!

I had this same thing. If my husband wanted to feel the baby kick he had to put his hands WAY down low. Turns out the baby was breech until last week. So if you get to have another sono you might ask them about that. My other two babies weren't like that so I know how you feel. (37 weeks,3rd child)
