It is UGLY! It is not human! It is not a Berlin wall, it is worse! It is impose by the weakest goverment in the U.S.A. this side of the ear! Bush ,not content with destroying the middle east ,has now set his mind on Mexico ,with the weak question on inmigration! This wall will not stop the southamericans coming up north , no matter where they come from! What is needed is a strong commitment on the part of the most powerfull country , to stabilise and make sure that the people of Mexico and other Hispanic American nations have access to qualified jobs, education and health care ,and then ,and only then will the people stay put! No one wants to leave their homeland if they get what they need there! Is also a problem of moral, human issues, if the people of south America and central ,caribbean ares were not so monopolised by BIG MONEY , they would never come up to the U.S.A., to loose their children in a school settings of racism ,wchich the children cannot deal with. A shame spot.

Good question, I don't have a good answer. Mexico does not have a legitimate government. I guess the idiots in the American government is worried about more crime. The bottom line is, "damned if you do, damned if you don't"

The governments of Central America are not the responsibility of the USA. The corruption is self created, not by the USA. The sphere of influence in Central America by the US is less than our influence and investment in Canada, yet Canada is not suppressed.
It is quite simple to blame the US for the problems in Mexico. Fact is, that US interests are severely limited by Mexican law, so that the elite of Mexico can maintain their corruption and control.
The irony is that liberals love to blame the US for all the world's ilks, and offer feel good solutions that most often involve US taxpayer money in the form of aid. Yet, they despise any efforts by the US to impose any systems of fairness or justness in the same countries.
Try and enter Mexico illegaly, and see what happens to you.
A fence is a good start to dealing with ILLEGAL immigration. Next we need to allow the immigration department the tools to swiftly send back illegals, that you liberals tirelessly fight for their right to remain here.

Why is it the government of the US responsible to fix your country?Fix your own problems. We are not responsible for everyone in the world. The only problem with the wall is that it is not going to be long enough. It has to be for the length of the ENTIRE border.

The US has a right to protect its sovereignty, plain and simple.
Why should the US have to subsidize the corrupt government of Mexico, when it itself should take care of it's people through it's own efforts to clean itself up internally. Vincente Fox and his cronies should be ashamed of themselves.

Every nation has the right to defend its borders. Make it a triple fence, with the middle one wired to 440 volts. No govt. services to anyone without papers. Jail for employers who hire the undocumented. ROUND THEM UP AND SEND THEM HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
