I share an office with 6 other people I am in the front reception @ the sales are in cubicles. The sales lady next to me cannot handle to hear the radio @ all and she is continuasly turning it down so I am unable to hear it. The manager is already after moving it from the middle of the office to the front so I am able to hear it. She recently e-mail our manager & gave him an ultimatium to either get rid of the radio or move her to a different location in the office. What do you think about this? I thought most offices have a radio's! What would you do if you were the boss?

I always have -- its a pain when you have a whiner like that, buuuut.... IMHO you need to respect her complaint to a certain extent as there is no real need to have a radio on to do your work.

If she can move to a quieter place in the office though, she certainly should do so instead of trying to impose her preference on everyone.

If someone is on the phone or meeting w/customers vendors etc. a radio can be a real distraction. Some folks can't concentrate while music is playing. I sometimes have problems listening to music w/lyrics if I'm reading something complex. Instumental is fine but therte isn't much of that on most radio stations.
Maybe you shoud get an MP3 palyer w/earphones.

I bought a satellite radio system. With the FM transmitter, everyone in the office can hear what's playing. What's great about it is there are no commercials. Everyone loves it!
